Why a PDA & Smart phone Page?

As a devoted PDA & electronics junkie I thought it would be fun to provide a few sites specifically for veterinary medicine that I've found useful. I use the silly gadget for just about everything and there seems to be more vetmed software becoming available for PDAs all the time. As new electronic devices become available I'll update the site with my impression of them as well.

NEW ELECTRONIC:

Featured is the Amazon Kindle. A wireless reading device. It allows the download and portability of numerous books with a high-resolution display technology called electronic paper that allows the screen to look much like a paper format book. I believe this will be be a good item for busy professionals and pleasure readers alike. Already many veterinary medical & pleasure books are available for download.

     

Recently I've tried the Blackberry Red Pearl and have found that a few veterinary programs can be downloaded to the phone or the phone's chip.  So, although not as many programs can be used on the Pearl, I've found the phone to be excellent and there is a small but nice collection of vetmed software that runs well.  This link has some pearl software:  http://www.skyscape.com/estore/store.aspx?category=54
