This page, like my entire site, is still a work in progress. But, my intension is to use this as a
platform for listing resources which have proven helpful to myself in the practice of veterinary
medicine. I expect the page will be a work in progress for some time yet as I intend to continue
to add links and information to the page. I currently have some of the links that I've found
especially helpful in practice as well as a few miscellenous items. Hopefully the page will
prove helpful to others in the veterinary field. |

Warming
Blanket: This is a recent acquisition for our
hospital and one that I that has proven invaluable to us
for both small animals and exotics. We utilize a Bair Hugger,
but I believe there are a couple different brands available.
The Unit works by blowing hot air through thin paper blanket
which envelopes the patient during anesthesic procedures.
These are commonly used in human medicine, especially with
small patients such as infants. The unit provides a safe
from of heat for the patient. We have found that when used
in conjunction with the fluid line warmer most patients don't
vary from their pre-anesthetic temperature. I highly recommend
this type of warmer.
