Flight runs shown, runs were framed with wood and hardware cloth wire was used to enclose the cages, all were spray painted black to allow better view of the birds and decrease zinc exposure.

looking through the run into the shed, the shed was split into 3 sections with two windows opening into 2 flights and a "window" cut into center flight to allow all birds to self regulate their environmental temps, the shed contains 2 a/c units on a timer for our AZ summers.

Looking into the Cockatiel cage - the cockatiels were all "fly ins" over the years - guess they heard the other birds...

end / rosella cage, all dividers were sectioned with double wire (on each side of the 2x4) to prevent direct contact and fighting.

Cockatiel flight, 2 one legged cockatiels are included in this group and therefore mulpitle resting places and climbing areas were included in their flight cage

back view of Tuff Shed, 3 windows were placed in the back of the shed with shelves on the inside, they are used as feeding platforms

inner view of rosella shed - please note that while wood chips were initially used they were quickly replaced with children's play sand which is less likely to promote fungal growth, also the floor and shelves inside were tiled to allow easier cleaning

Golden Mantled Rosella - isn't she beautiful in her teenage years :) She is from a 5th generation clutch of gm rosellas, I no longer breed them but have some that I just could never let go so they just enjoy life now...

Cockatile with one leg, amputation required as a 2 week old chick due to severe injury - she dose great - she is kept flighted as are all my aviary birds

Our "fly in" budgies with their two chicks in a planter, the planter was filled with cement and a tree was placed inside to act as a movable perch, wood chips were placed in the pot - guess the budgies liked it...and thus the "accident" babies.
